Auto Rotate does not work on my Incredible 2

I just got an Incredible 2 and I have an issue with the auto rotate on my Droid Incredible 2. I would love to know if anyone else does too. When I turn on the auto rotate setting on every single app that can be in landscape stays in landscape and won't change back to be vertical. When I turn it off I can only view apps and windows in the vertical setting. Please help me. I would love input. Thanks!

I dowload the new update an now my ph will not rotate. It use to when I would send a text I could rotate it. I pull the battery and it will work for a few an then I would just stop. Contacted Htc they couldn't help me don't know what to do

I've had a great experience with my HTC Incredible 2. I'm glued to this new smartphone with its blazing fast applications. Auto rotate is a very important feature that I want to get working for you.

Did this start after a particular application was downloaded? Please remove the battery and reinsert and retest. Please check to make sure auto rotate is check marked. Menu>setting>display>auto rotate. Then please start the device in safe mode and retest. This will rule out if an application is causing this malfunction.

If the above steps don't resolve the issue. Please backup your device with Gmail and hard reset the device. Let me know if this helps.
