You know, supposedly the Droid X is in high demand. Yet, when I'm out and about at restaurants etc., I can't say I have seen a Droid X.
You see a LOT of that really cool looking 4 phone from you know who, and occasionally even a Moto Droid or HTC Incredible. It's not like I would miss that 4.3" screen! Just wondering how many of these devices they are actually producing?

My guess would be a lot of Droid X's are being released. I ordered mine on a Saturday and was told I would have it by Tuesday. I got it by Tuesday - of the next week...
I ordered mine on 8/2 and was told that it would ship by 8/18. I got it on 8/10 much to my surprise. Haven't seen too many droid x phones out there either.

Also, I forgot to add that I ordered in store as well and I got no notice of shipment online or by email.
I order the Droid X in store on 8/15. They did a 2-day ship through FedEx and told me that it would be about 2 weeks before shipped. If you order in store, do you get a confirmation email or not? It would be nice to get a tracking number at least. I looked online and the Droid X says, "will be shipped 8/31". I know it hasn't been a week yet, but I don't think I can wait any longer. The current cell that I'm using is a {word filter avoidance}. It shuts off when it wants to, it doesn't tell me when I miss a call, and more.

I received an email confirming that I ordered the phone (in store 8/13) but have been told that I will not receive an email until it ship. I've also been told by a CSR that I may not receive a shipping notice/tracking number since I ordered in store. Yeah, I'm a lot of help, right?
