Backup Assistant doesn't work right.

Short Version:  Backup Assistant doesn't seem to work right. If I try to delete some contacts from My Verizon or phone itself, they will go away for a few mins but then backed up again. Is there any remedy?

Long Version: When I got my Droid X, I ran my backup assist. and it synced all my email contacts including unnecessary ones. So I cleaned up my email contacts hoping that it will solve the problem by next synchronization, but it didn't  help. So I went to Verizon Website to delete my contacts from there and I was able to delete around 100 contacts. However, it doesn't delete anymore. I still have around 50 to delete, but they won't go away, once I delete them from website or handheld itself, 5 mins later contacts are backed up. I tried to stop sync with my email account, still doesn't help :smileysad:. Has anyone encountered such problem with their phones?

Is it pulling then from Facebook. Gmail is also pretty annoying at keeping contacts. Put the phone in airplane mode and then delete from the website, phone and gmail at the same time. After looking at my sisters android phone, I found out contacts can be placed on your SD also, not saying this is the case with you though.

If all fails, move the junk numbers to a separate group and filter them out.

My only problem with backup except with Facebook which is another beast.
