For the first 2 months Backup Assistant worked just fine for my Droid X. Starting around December 10, 2010 backup assistant stopped working. I can see online and I can start sync from online to device. Device even responds to the start of the backup. But every timeit fails with network unavailable.
Any asistance would be appreciated.

Backuo Assistant has a habit of experiancing issues, I suggest you use Google Backup because it is more reliable and consider getting MyBackup from market as a safty backup.
For now you can try rebooting and try again or go to Settings/Applications/Manage Applications/All Tab/Backup Assistance/Clear Data and then reboot and then try logging back in..

As long as you have your contact list online, you can remove/ uninstall the Backup Assistant application from your device, reboot, and then reinstall the application. Below I have provided you with the steps to complete this.
*Uninstall*
- Tap the "Market" icon
- Tap "Verizon" tab, (APPS, GAMES, "VERIZON")
- Tap "Backup Assistant" application
- Tap "Uninstall"
Reboot- power completely off and then back on.
*Reinstall*
- Tap the "Market" icon
- Tap Verizon
- Tap "Backup Assistant"
- Tap "Install"
- Follow the steps to complete installation- run/ backup.
I hope this helps. If you need additional assistance, please send me a Private Message with your 10-digit mobile number, and a callback number, and I will be happy to further assist you.
Thank you,
