I was able to sync the BA on my HTC Incredible but when I logged into my account online at verizonwireless.com, it goes through a sync process but then times out saying that it could not sync and to try later.  Any ideas?

The issue you are experiencing with back up assistant is a known issue. Backup assistant is not syncing contacts or is doing a partial sync  although it shows sync successful. Customers are getting error message on the website  "server didn't respond.  Please try again later."  Our experts are working diligently to resolve the issue. I am now experiencing this same issue as this other person -- but it is a year and a half later.  What was the fix?  Is there a fix?

Mine will not sync anything.....google calendar, back assistant, facebook, nothing.  Whether I try to do sync all or try and sync them individually.  The last sync thru my gmail account was Feb 28th.  This has happened a few times before, and it seems like it happens around the time an update for the phone comes thru.  VERY frustrating!  I hope someone from Verizon Tech support will read this and help to get it fixed fast.  I use my phone for for work, home, and different community committees that I'm on and the syncing of calendars is one of the most important things that I use daily!  Verizon PLEASE help fix this ASAP!  Thanks!

Good afternoon poohbear24 and MightyEMan.

I can certainly understand your frustration, as I would feel the same way if my data was not syncing as it's supposed to be.  MightyEMan, are you having the problem with Backup Assistant only?  Do you use Google/ Gmail to backup your contacts?

poohbear24 and MightyEMan, what software version do you have on your device?  (From main screen, touch Menu > Settings > About Phone > touch Software Version. The current version should be Build Number: 4.08.605.2 Baseband Version: 2.15.10.07.07)  I was able to find that when others had this issue, the solution was to go into the Market and uninstall GMail from the phone.  GMail will have you re-enter your information, (same with other apps), and then your contacts will start syncing in real time.  

If the steps above don't help, you will need to perform a Hard Reset
