Bad everything

Over the past few months this phone has gone down hill. I've tried just about everything I could think of. I went from just a standard soft reset to a hard reset to uninstalling apps and even to a factory reset. Nothing has fixed my spontaneous restarting problem. I could unlock my phone and then it restarts. I could be in the middle of playing a game on my phone or a phone call and then it just restarts. The phone lags a lot more than it used to when I first got it around a year ago. I went to a verizon store yesterday and I asked if I could exchange my phone because I know I have the total protection coverage on my phone. The clerk told me that only the account holder could do this. I know that's not true because I have done this before on many of my previous phones. I'm really frustrated on both the phone and the company.
