Battery and speaker

ok so my incredible is horible on batery life dont know what to do to get a longer life out of it. there is no other programs runing deleted all but factory apps and i get maybe 6-8 hours out of my phone with maybe 2-3 phone calls nothing else.

now my speaker is crackleing this is becomeing a bad phone.

any help would be great.

Some things to try: For speaker, take off the back cover and check if there is debris on the speaker.

*As far as battery life...I have tried all the battery tweaks....I found disabling 3g when not using it to be the biggest battery saver. This doesn't affect battery life when you are using your phone...but when the phone is idle the battery drain is minimal. Before when I left 3g overnight I would see 15-20% drop by morning with zero usage....Now with 3g off the drop is only 4-6%....and wifi connected the entire time.....

ya i have tried that too still no luck im at 50% life by noon when taking off the charge at 5:30am

there are a TON of older threads on how to improve the battery life if you search around the forum. that said.....the battery life is bad (but i can get a full day out of it....2+ hours of actual use and 15-20 more hours of standby), and the speakers are bad. if the speaker is already blown, i'd return it.

If you are charging the phone while it is on, once the green line comes on, shut the phone off. The orange light will come on for another 20 minutes or so, then turn green. You will see a increase in your battery life.

This is called Bump charging. I normally do it when I get up and am getting ready for the day.

Make sure that nothing displayed on the top left corner of your phone. Those running apps will drain battery quickly.

You can simply clear that info by pulling down the notification bar and hitting clear.But the items are still around.

Those are not apps up there, They are VM, email, FB, notifications. But I also have a battery meter and signal meter up there. My battery is just fine.

Steel3470, how is your coverage during the day? If you are at a place where the phone has to work hard to acquire a signal or where there is weak coverage, the battery will go down VERY quickly.

my coverage is great

the speaker is blown and i will be going to verizon this weekend.
