Battery life

The battery on my phone is draining in just a couple hours of non-use. I took the phone to a Verizon service store and was told that I needed to remove the battery every other day so that it reboots for that not to happen (tech even said that morons know that!!). I've never been told that by anyone. Is this true?? By the way, I'm disgusted how we were treated. Given the tech support number for the other issue we were having and pretty much shown the door. Not at all impressed!

I'm very sorry to hear of your poor experience at the store. They should have given you some reasons why talking to tech support would help you in this situation. If a replacement of your battery or phone is needed, tech support is the place to go.  As far as your battery issue goes, I'd like to help.

There are so many things that can drain battery life, it's hard to pinpoint an exact fix.  If your phone is not being used, I would think it is some type of application running in the background that is draining your battery. What do your battery usage statistics say is the biggest culprit? Settings> Battery & Data Manager> Touch the pic of the battery to see what's eating your battery.

Here's a video of how to manage the battery life of the Droid 2 if you want some additional tips on battery life conservation.
