I have two different gmail e-mail accounts. Can I have both of them open at the same time on the Bionic (and other smartphones)?

Google has a option to switch between the two but I do not think there is a way to have both of them open at the same time..
Maybe there is a 3rd party app that allows this but I haven't heard of one that does this.

I can have both e-mail boxes opened at the same time on my Windows Vista PC, where I can have multiple windows opened in Internet Explorer. So, I guess, in order to do this on a cell phone, I would have to have the ability to open multiple e-mail windows. Is this possible?

Thats a possible solution but I think they are speaking of having it open on their device not a pc but if thats wasnt what they wanted then you method would work with the same browser also, just open one window and the open another panel, I do that al the time.

Hello CincinnatiDan,
I understand the need to have multiple email accounts open. You can have multiple windows open in your browser to answer your question, but I'm not sure if that is what you are looking for. If you manually log into your gmail from your browser you can press the menu>windows>new window and manually log in to your second account. However, in a since that is the same thing Wildman was advising but with a more stable presence of both accounts. You can add your second gmail account under Settings>Accounts>Add>Google>Enter sign in credentials. Once you add you can tap your Gmail icon and toggle back and forth between both accounts by tapping the email address in the top right corner, but no current way to have both open at the same time. I hope this helps and clarifies some things for you. Thank you.

Thank you. Yes, I just want to be able to go back and forth between Gmail accounts, without having to sign off and sign back on. I have never had a smartphone, and just wanted to find out if I will be able to sign on to both accounts, then switch between the two.

I have three different Gmail accounts and, with my original Droid, I have no problem switching from one to the other without signing in each time. I would expect this to be an android feature and a phone-specific feature, so the bionic should do the same thing. I sure hope so - I'm getting mine next week,

The universalk inbox will take inbound messages from multuple email and text account and put them into one place to look. I don't use it personally, but from what I have read, it works. I just don't know how to send from the different accounts.
