Bionic has locked up twice since purchase?

I love this phone, however I have a question. Do smart phones randomly lock up, or did I somehow lock the phone since the lock switch is the same as the power button? I had it sitting on my desk, and went to use it..I pressed the power button on top to turn on the screen, and it did nothing. I had to remove the battery cover and battery, then put it back in. It then came on immediately.

If u have the screentimeout after that happens u press the power button and swipe from the left to right to unlock it. U can press the power button to make it dark then u have press it again then swipe from left to right. If it doesent do that then something is wrong

If you are still having trouble with your phone locking up, start toying with the different apps you have downloaded to the phone.  There are some apps on the market that are not compatible with BIONIC yet.  Just remove one at a time and let it go for a couple of days...see what happens.  I had this problem with my previous phone (Droid X) and found out that Angry Birds was causing the issue.  I un-installed and re-installed and then it was OK.
