I have original Moto Droid. After a call, or after using an app, my screen has nothing on it except the background (no icons) for 5 to 10 seconds. Why?!
I have cleared the cache on all apps, rebooted the droid, still the problem.
Try closing unused applications that you have running in the background.
Try deleting old messages that you no longer need, to clear phone memory.
If you are using a task manager or application manager, try setting it to high to close applications.
Dial *228 send and option 1.
Thank you Noah. I had already done that to no avail. What did work though at least for the time being, is to take out the battery when the phone is on.
