Bluetooth Not Working After Update

I recently got an update from Verizon for my Droid X. According to the phone, it is 2.3.340.MB810.Verizon.en.US.

Everything works great except the Bluetooth, which I cannot get to work in any fashion. The Bluetooth worked great before the upgrade.

What do I have to do to get it to work?

you might have to pair the two again.

With any update, your router may need a reset and re-pairing (as suggested). Just for S & G, start from scratch as if you were removing the router from the box and connecting it for the first time.

Nobody asked what I was smoking? I saw "update" and naturally thought wifi because of my phone's past wifi issues after an update. This question was about bluetooth. Oooops.

No, it was update flashbacks when, after the last update my phone decided that it would work with EVERY router on the planet, but my home router. It's a long story, involved two phone exchanges and mucho troubleshooting. The good thing that came out of it was realizing that Gerio is a cool kat. AND, wildman a techno-genius.

After reading all of the things you folks wrote on this thread, I decided to go out to the car and try the Bluetooth again. Wouldn't you know, the darned thing worked just fine and the coupling was intact after the upgrade.

Who can figure out what these things are going to do next???

why would you need to need to reset the router for something on the phone, nothing changed with the router.

Speaking from experience.... When I updated my "X" from 2.1 to 2.2,  I definately had to re-pair my jabra SP700 bluetooth device.  Took me a little while to figure that out because I too thought.... heck it worked with 2.1 just yesterday....   When I re-paired.... it worked just great!!!

Bear, if you were following along, you would have seen DSW correcting himself.

DSW, I'm 53 years old, I didn't have to ask what you were smoking, tee hee hee... :smileyhappy:)

All in fun, as usual,
