Bluetooth Problems with Incredible - incomplete Bluetooth stack from HTC

I used to be able to get my phone book to connect to my car but now it doesn't work anymore.  Calls still come in through the car but the address book is blank.  It tries to connect and says transferring but then the message goes away.  Other phones work fine iPhone, Blackberry, etc..  So I searched the internet and found some developers talking about it on androidforums and HTC's forums.  They are saying the HTC Incredible does not have the full 2.1 Bluetooth stack that the Nexus One has.  When are we going to get the same Bluetooth capabilities that the Nexus One has? So the Incredible 2.1 and Nexus One 2.1 do not have the same functionality?  Is this what we can expect in the future with 2.2? We will get most of the features of a release but not all.

Another link with the same symptoms.

If this can't be resolved I can't use this phone.  Verizon? got anything to say?  Your pushing a phone out that clearly has some Bluetooth issues.

I posted about this at HTC but I guess Verizon will have to do the OTA.  This is a serious bug.  When you suggest we buy this phone because the Nexus One wasn't available I expected it to have the same bluetooth functionality of that phone.  Currently there are Android Market apps that will not function over bluetooth simply because we do not have the 2.1 Eclair Android version of Bluetooth correctly installed on our phones.

This needs to be addressed immediately.
