I did a software update last week to android 2.3.4 and am now having trouble connecting to my Bluetooth car stereo (Pioneer). Prior to the update, my Bluetooth connection worked perfectly. As soon as I updated, I now get a notification asking if I would like to connect to the Pioneer device. I say "ok" and I get the message "paired but not connected."
I have tried deleting my phone from the stereo and re-adding it. Rebooting my phone and stereo. Any suggestions on how to fix the issue?
My phone updated last night and now I am having the same problem. Did you find a fix?
Have you tried removing the device and pair it again and see if this helps, setup files sometimes get corrupt on OS update
No, I haven't. Thanks I will try and see if it fixes it!!
Thanks,
Pam

No, I haven't found anything yet. Just read some other message boards with
people who are experiencing the same issue.
How do you remove the device? I don't see that option when I click on the
device. I only see "pair and connect" or scan for other devices.
Suggestions?
Press and hold on the device name under the bluetooth manager area and select Forget or Unpair... I am not sure which option you will get but it should be one of the two..
Update --- So I successfully deleted my bluetooth device on my phone. Then
I scanned for devices again and found the stereo. I then synced the two
devices again by making my phone discoverable and adding my phone to the
stereo. Everything works!
Glad to hear that you are back up and running... Glad I could help.
