Bluetooth problems on BMW X3

I have a Droid X that cuts out when using Bluetooth on BMW X3. Does anyone else have this problem? I've already replaced the phone and the Verizon store can't figure out the problem. Every other phone works fine except this Droid. Please help.

If you can use the Bluetooth function of the phone outside of the vehicle without issue, and other devices in your car with no problems, the problem is going to be the compatibility with your DROID X, and not the device itself. Since this portion is not supported by Verizon Wireless, you may consider contacting BMW to explain it may not be fully compatible as it states on their website.

If you are fortunate, someone here with the same car might be able to offer suggestions. Odds = slim.

I had questions with mine and found more assistance in the Camaro SS forums and GM forums.

You might try the manufacturer of your car stereo, if it isn't OEM. There are car stereo forums these days, too.

I found that others with the same make of car as mine haven't experienced the same issues I have, but have yet to find one using a Droid X. More than likely, plenty of Droid X owners drive BMW X3's and Camaro SS's, but how many participate in forums?

When the last update created (new and never before present) compatibility issues with my router, the solution was to purchase a new router, when the router worked FINE BEFORE the update. Blame it on the router? No, but it was a cheap fix. (Example, though not the same as bluetooth).

I have decided bluetooth won't be an option for my vehicle and, this time, purchasing a new stereo system (more expensive than a $40 router) is not a viable option.

Not saying it's the fault of the Droid X. It just sounds trite to "blame it" on everything BUT the phone.

The bottom line is the consumer is stuck between a rock and a bluetooth issue and neither OEM side is willing to do anything but point at the other.

And to be fair, I wouldn't expect Moto engineers to have worked out the bluetooth specs on every bluetooth device we might connect our phones with.

It's frustrating and I vented. Thanks.
