Bluetooth won't stay connected

Hi,

I have a Pioneer X930BT navigation system in my car. My Incredible will pair with the navigation system, but it won't stay connected. There are two options within the bluetooth settings on the phone, "Use Phone Audio," and "Use Media Audio." If I select "Use Phone Audio" only, the device will connect, stay connected for 5 seconds and then drop the connection. If I select "Use Media Audio" the phone will lock in "connecting..." mode and won't do anything. You have to disconnect the bluetooth connection to get it unlocked. Any thoughts on how I can get the Incredible to maintain a connection with the navigation device? I have tried turning off the Wifi connection thinking this might be interfering, but that hasn't worked. My wife's iPhone will connect to the navigation system, so I tend to think the issue is with the Incredible and not the navigation system. Any help would be great. Thanks for your time.

Update:

For anyone that should come across this issue, or perhaps general interest, I've made some headway. By placing a call in the short 5 to 10 second window the phone was connected to the navigation system, it somehow created a reliable connection. Now the phone automatically connects for phone audio, when I get into the car. I can place and receive calls and all that fun stuff. Unfortunately, the phone will not connect for media audio, so I have to use a cord to plug into the auxillary slot to play any audio from my phone. Another solution is to download an application, such as Bluetooth Switcher, which routes the stereo audio through a mono headset, in this case the navigation system. You don't get the functionality of being able to use the buttons on the navi, it creates an extra step of having to open the application, and the audio quality isn't as good, but it is a way to listen to audio from your phone in your car, with the car's speaker system.

Hope this helps anyone that should have this issue. If you find a better solution, please let me know.
