Bookmarks Force-Closing

Hello. I have the Incredible with the original OS. Recently, when I've tried to access my Bookmarks on the HTC browser, I receive the following error message: "The application Internet (process com.android.browser) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." (with a Force Close button). I am also not able to access Bookmarks via the HTC "Bookmarks" widget. Similarly, the Bookmark Sort & Backup app does not work. I have tried uninstalling the app; resetting the browser to default settings; reformatting the SD card; as well as doing a soft reset. I had over 100 bookmarks and currently have almost as many apps; I would much rather avoid having to do a hard reset and starting over. Please help ... Thanks very much in advance!

If the device is force closing when accessing bookmarks on your HTC browser I would recommend starting it in safe mode. I have listed the article below on how to put the device in safe mode.

***While in safe mode try accessing your bookmarks once again, if you do not experience the issue, it will be an application or task killer that caused the problem.
Please ensure that you are using the end program application on the device instead of a task killer if possible. I have listed the article and instruction below on how to use it.

-Press Menu
-Press Settings
-Select Applications
-Select Running Services
-Click the desired program to end
I would also try cleaning your Cache, Cookie, or History content. ***Please be advised that deleting cookies may remove some of your saved website information (registration, passwords, etc.). You may have to re-enter them.
