CHRISTMAS ARE U KIDDING ME

I oredered my DX 8/25 the clerk said it will ship out 9/7 but may come early which was fine with me. So I find a link where i can put in my order number and order location and my last name and it will give u your ship date. So i put in my info hopeing im one of the lucky few to get it early and this is the message i got

Due to overwhelming inventory demands, your DROID X by Motorola order will ship on 12/25/2010

and i backed out of the link and tried it again and it gave me the same result and my cell phone number so i know they have the right account. I called customer service they couldnt give me a answer all they said was call your store so i called the store and all they said was that cant be right.. WHATS GOING ON VERIZON????? KEEP THIS UP AND I WILL STAY WITH SPRINT.

Calm down. I'm sure it's some sort of glitch. No way it'd be delayed til then. Your ship date is probably 9/7 or 9/9. Somewhere around there. I ordered mine the 23rd and have the ship date of 9/7.

Be cool there is no way it will take that long. You will on wait a couple of weeks maybe a month at the most but i doubt that. Droid x is coming

Ordered mine on 8/19 ... the Ship Date on their site originally said 9/6 ... they JUST bumped it up to 9/3 - of course that's over the holiday w/e, so it will still be 9/6 or so until it arrives.. It will FEEL like Xmas when it arrives though !! patience...

The question is, was this a valid site to even give you a ship date? If it wasn't a Verizon or FedEX site I would say you need to be careful of what information you place in sites that cant be verified.. Just with the information that you gave a thief can try to intercept or redirect your delivery because the information you gave is a way to track your delivery, I had a co worker that had something like this happen with a device they ordered from AT&T... Just food for thought.

So you found a link? Sounds like you found a non-official VZW link, why would VZW be responsible for this link having false information? My 2 year old claims to know when mom gets home, but when I don't like the time she says I don't get mad at my wife over it.

The only website I've ever seen for tracking a VZW order online is for Online orders only. Store and phone orders must be checked on the phone or at the store.

just go to verizonwireless.com, select support and under there you can find an "order status" link. enter your order number and last name there and it will give you the order status. i ordered mine on 8/10, it gave me a ship date of 8/26 and i got an email on 8/23 that it was shipped out...got the fone the next day from fedex.

just keep checking your email. the order status says that you will receive an email once they ship the droidx to u. your email will have a link to fedex's website where you can track the package.

Yea I ordered my phone 8/21

got my order status 8/24

check my order status on the website

and it also says Christmas is the shipping date

I called back they said that is a glitch

and I should have my phone by tomorrow 8/30

but I highly doubt it

cause today is Sunday and still no shipment email
