Calendar Event Modification Problem with 2.2

I don't seem to be able to modify a calendar event like I was able to with 2.1.  When I select the event from the calendar it briefly flashes a screen (which happens so fast I can't really read it) and then dumps me into a screen that I can't open the event from.  Anyone else out there having a similar problem?

I posted this yesterday right after my original post but, for some reason, it didn't appear in the thread.  The solution I found to the problem was to press and HOLD the event in the calendar and a sub menu appears with the option to edit, delete etc. The event.  To be honest I don't remember if this was a way to get to the menu in 2.1 or not but it gets the job done in 2.2.

Hope this helps someone out.  I was a frustrating 45 minutes yesterday for me until I stumbled on this solution.

I am having exactly the same issue.  It appears that the screen that flashes so quickly is the actual screen from which you could edit the calendar entry.  The menu also does not offer an edit feature.  It appears that you can add an event or delete an event, but you cannot edit one.

Once you bring up an event, CLICK ON IT. Then click MENU, The edit option will then be there.

This worked in 2.1 but not in 2.2.  Help.  We need a system fix.  I have too many events to delete and re-enter.

I have 2.2.  Go to the calendar, click on a date that has events, the list of events will show, click and choose an event, then MENU, EDIT is an option.

I have found that the only events I can edit on the Droid are events that were entered on the Droid.  If an event was entered into Google Calendar on my PC, it can only be edited through Google Calendar.  But events entered on the Droid can also be edited on Google Calendar.  Events can be deleted from either app.  It would be nice to be able to change permissions so that the Droid could edit events entered from a PC.

After I posted the above paragraph, I discovered something about Google Calendar concerning editing events.  I had been using Google Calendar before I switched to the Droid.  Even though my events entered before the Droid are displayed on the Droid, the prior events had a different calendar identification than what is being used now between the online calendar and the Droid.  Any new events that I've entered in Google Calendar online can be edited on the Droid.  So, if you have events you can't edit on your Droid, try going online and re-entering the event with the appropriate calendar identification.  This solved my issue.

the screen should say that you don't have any calendars. i had this problem after my update. it wiped all of my saved events. i think with 2.1 you could use a google calendar AND/OR a phone calendar and with 2.2 it looks like you can only use google calendars.

anyway, if it's there, select your google calendar and you can start adding events to it. it's a PITA to have to re-enter everything tho.

All my prior events stayed. Now I have more as it seems to have brought BD's over from Facebook.

my phone just updated to 2.2, the calendar problem is wrost.  First, When I activate the calendar, it said the Process com.htc.calendar has stopped, and need to force close.  Second, when the phone start, the process com.htc.bqp also need to force close. Third, I cannot sync the phone to PC, which I can do when it is 2.1.

Any one can help?

Have you done a battery pull while the unit is on?
