Caller problems, and some more..

Well let me start off by saying my girlfriend gets so mad at me when she calls me and I don't get any of the calls. It bothers me because I then think she was lying. But overall I tested it and it does happen. Called my Droid X from my house phone and no call on my Droid X.

Problems:

• When someone calls me, I can't hear them and they can't hear me. Or even if I go to make a call, I don't hear no ringing. Yes I reboot/restart my phone for it to work again, but come on... It's annoying, it happens *at least* once a day.
• When I reboot/restart my phone, I hold the power/lock button till it says power off I hit ok, then I restart it by holding the power/lock button. Now problem is, I have a pattern lock. And I normally wait 30 seconds for my phone to reboot/restart fully. Sometimes I don't and it says "Please try again in __ seconds" Now I didn't even try to enter in my lock or anything. Is this normal or is it just functionally wrong?
• I have my girlfriend in my contacts as something else. For the longest time her display picture is old. It's not updated with facebook. I have her facebook linked to my contact i have her under. What's the problem with this?
• Now, i'm wondering if i can put a lock on say pictures or anything etc. just so i can see or access them incase someone looks at my phone.

Several questions to you to get some idea of where to start...

How is the signal strength at your house?

Have you tried the PRL update? Dial*228 and press option 1 to program your phone. Then dial *228 again, but this time, press option 2.

Have you tried the obligatory hard reset on the phone? This erases everything and resets the phone to its original out-of-the-box state. You should look around here for the reset procedure that resets the phone, but doesn't allow the old configuration to be re-installed. Old configurations and new firmware is where a lot of problems start.

As for the Facebook contacts issue, I have found it best to not even let Facebook contacts and Goggle contacts know that the other exists. That has always resulted in a huge tangled-up mess.

If none of this helps, then you need to have your phone looked at by a Verizon tech and possibly even replaced.

You would think that by now, the Droid X shipping and tracking sticky could be replaced with this update method in its place.
