Camcorder crashes on DroidX

er
Newbie

this is the environment: Verizon DroidX, Android version 2.2, kernel version 2.6.32.9
these are the steps to reproduce the problem:
  1. shut down phone and reboot normally
  2. shoot a video with camcorder, verify it is working properly
  3. start pandora music player, wait for music to start playing
  4. pause pandora player and hit home button (do not quit pandora)
  5. open camcorder and attempt to record a video
  6. camcorder app crashes to desktop
  7. after this any attempt to use camcorder or camera crashes to desktop
  8. the problem continues even if a task killer is used to kill pandora, camera app, etc
  9. only solution is to reboot phone
please note, i am not sure if this is a problem with pandora or DroidX kernel so i have also opened a ticket with pandora:

This is a known issue with Pandora, actually there are a ton of issues with Pandora that I've been waiting to be corrected.  If you look at the apps comment screen and scroll through it you will see a TON of negative ratings because of the issues.

In the mean time I uninstalled Pandora as I had way to many issues with the app and unexpected problems while it was installed.  Since uninstalling it all my issues have gone away.

I am actually having the same exact problem, and not even running Pandora.  I also have the issue where I take a picture, it shows up on the display, but than it never makes it to the SD card or anywhere.  It completly disappears
