Camera with black screen

Ive had my droid for about 4 months. all of a sudden I'm starting to have problem where the camera screen is black. ...

I tried to restart the phone, and also tried to take the battery out. and I even tried to clear the camera data and uninstall and re-install.

I'm very sad. I LOVE my phone... what should I do? Take it to tech service?

How did you uninstall and reinstall the camera app ecause it is a stock application that should not allow you to uninstall it and since the app isnt on the market how did you install it... Are you using the stock app or a 3rd party sofrware?

I had a third party camera. thats that one I reinstalled. However, both camera apps are not working. they both have a black screen.

Is there anything i can do?

Good morning! I would love to help. I am glad to learn that you enjoy your phone, I'm sorry the camera has been acting up. Is this a continuous issue or more intermittent? This does sound like a potential hardware issue and knowing that you've done a lot of troubleshooting I would recommend we look at exchange options under the warranty.
