i have read that when you take a picture that the borders of the frame should go green.  i have not had this yet but it seems my sample pics are coming out fine. what is this? should i be concerned?

also my camera clicks when i activate it, does this happen to your phone? once again should I be worried?

I have the Eris, but I only hear the "clicks" when using one of the barcode scanners. It's quiet when I just go into the camera application and take a picture.

Also, I see the red/green focus boxes right away. You can also do a manual re-focus by tapping the screen. The Eris, at least, will then re-focus to the area you just tapped.

so we are talking hardware problem?

When i click on the camera option, i get four quick clicking noises.

i also tried to take a picture of a page of words and noticed that the picture would not focus.  can someone try this with a phone that doesnt click? i held the paper 3 inches, 4 inches, and 5 inches away and nothing.

do the green lines have anything to do with proper lighting too?

You can always bring it back and compare with another Droid... I dont have the Droid, so the hardware may behave differently.

The lines should go green once the device captures a "clean" image. If your not getting green lines easily, then it could be the Droid's software bug or a camera issue.
