I downloaded an app from the Market called iSyncr for $2.99 that does just that. It was easy to use and I downloaded over 700 songs to my phone last night. It does take about 20 minutes to download the songs though.

You can transfer itunes music into your new droid X yes.  To do that just do this....

  1. Hook up your phone with the usb cable
  2. Select "mount" on your phone
  3. Go to start
  4. My computer
  5. Removable Storage
  6. Select your phone
  7. Open up the music playlist folder
  8. Open up iTunes
  9. Drag & drop songs from iTunes into there

Once that is all done you can get the free app called RingDroid. With RingDroid you make songs in your phone as a ringtone. So you can make any of the itunes music as one of your ringtones

Hello,

Yes, you can use itunes to transfer music into your Droid X.  Not only can you transfer your music you can also transfer your Videos into your Droid X.  I played with my Droid X so much that I feel like I am almost an expert :smileyhappy:.

Remember the Droid X comes with a 16GB sandisk.  This sandisk holds loads of information.  You will need a reader to plug the sandisk into and then insert it into your computer port.

Here is what you need to do:

1) Take the sandisk out of your Droid X and then plug the sandisk into the reader, which must be inserted into your computer port.  It looks like a mini USB adapter.  (I don't know if Verizon sells them separately, but one comes with the sandisk when you purchase a sandisk at the Verizonwireless store.

2)Click on My Computer then right click Removable software  and click on Open.  Once this is open then, Open up Itunes.

3)In Itunes you can drag over any Song or Video you want and place it into the removable folder.   Caution:  some of the videos might not work.

4)When you are finished go to the Sandisk folder, hit the back button (In Green on the left top).  Then Right Click removable hardware and then click Eject.

5)Remove sandisk and place back into the Droid X.

6)Click on Home Key on your Droid X and go to the Music App and open it up.

Here you can set the music as a RINGTONE.  Hold down the song for a second, then tap Add to playlist.  You can do this for each song.  They will go to your Ringtone list.   For the Videos you will have to open up the GALLERY APP.

7)Very Important:  Go to the contact list, put in information for your contact or if your information was backed up onto your phone tap the MENU key and then tap EDIT.  Put in all the information.  You will have to scroll down to ADDITIONAL INFORMATION and tap the arrow.  Then put in more information.  There you will see RINGTONE near the end of the list.  Tap it and the RINGTONE list will appear.  Choose your song.

The great thing about this is that you will not have to purchase any more ringtones.  I love it.   I was so happy and excited.  I love this Droid X phone.  It is like having a mini Ipad.

I hope that this information will be helpful to you.
