Can I use the HDMI out-put to view the web content on tv screen instead of on the small phone screen? I read through the on-line user guide and saw no mention of it. Only photos and un-protected video.

Unless someone knows a way, no. The only thing you can view with the HDMI output are your gallery items. You can't even watch Blockbuster rentals though it.

Maybe so, but you can't watch ANYTHING in Hi-def.

it's much better to watch anything than almost nothing at all.... besides, quality is just fine on the tv.

Right... Everyone knows Standard def is fine compared to Hi def, that's why HD tv's don't sell..... *sarcasm*
I'm sure soon enough there will be a fix to allow viewing of Hi Def content over HDMI.

While you can't use the HDMI out for watching videos (other than the videos you made yourself on the phone), I have used the DLNA feature, and all videos you have can output to that, wirelessly, and in hi-def. It's really a neat trick. While there may not, at present, be many DLNA devices out there, I have a PS3 which works with DLNA, and it's really a slick way to go.
