Can't Watch Shows with Att Uverse App using Droid X

The other day i upgraded to a Droid X (after having the dreaded KIN TWOM) and im excited to what i can use it for.

Anyways on my dads Lg Revolution android phone he uses the Att Uverse app to watch and download tv shows, so i

log in to the same account but the option to watch or download shows doesnt come up. We both compared screens and on his it shows the option "View optional downloadable shows" but on mine its not there! Both phones run 2.3 android. I turned on wifi but still the option doesn't show up!

i don't know if this is a common problem or if its a not supported model, but i don't see why not, im sure the droix X is capable of streaming and downloading tv shows!

does anyone have an idea on whats going on? i've looked online for something but i haven't had any luck finding what im looking for...any help or suggestions is appreciated 😃

Funny thing is....he can't get it to work on 4g and only seems to work over wifi...apparently its a common problem with the app...but 4g or not I still don't see any reason why it can't stream tv shows...

Simply sounds like the software doesnt support the device, it takes more than the OS to make a device compatible with a app,  if the developers havent tested it for the device it simply wont work...

Have you tried contacting the developer and verify if the Droid X is a supported device?

UPDATE: I just Googled Att Uverse App using Droid X and there is plenty information on the web aboutthe app not supporting many devices so it looks like your dad was a lucky one, some user got it to work by diffrent means but from what I have read it is officially only supported on a handful of devices.

Let me guess, it's only officially supported by AT&T android devices... :smileywink:

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Thank you for your inquiry. I would agree with previous posters and think that you should check the website to check system requirements and supported devices.
