Everything worked fine up until today. Now I cant access my SD card from my PC. It keeps saying "preparing SD card"...over and over and over continuously. On my PC it just shows it as a removeable disk. I can see the files on the SD card from the phone so it appears to be working fine. The phone occassionally randomly reboots itself while plugged into the computer also.
Any idea how to correct this?

You can try to reformat your SD card and make sure the information has not been erased the mount your card again.

I have had the same issue from time to time and I usually resolve by defragging the PC and if issue continue then I would pull card out and place in pc reader and defrag the card... Now I can not stress this enough... DO NOT DISK CHECK THE CARD JUST DEFRAG BECAUSE DISK CHECK WILL CAUSE YOU TO LOSE FILES!!! After doing the defrags, place card back into phone and it should function like normal again...

My X is a week old and has had the same problem since day 1. I have spent many hours between tech service and my local store trying to resolve this. The store determined the original SD card was bad so they replaced it. The new card was recognized for a few days but then I started getting the "sd card missing" message again. Verizon is now sending me a new X. I am willing to try another phone but if it happens again I will give up on the X.
I never could get my iTunes files to play so with the SD problems included I simply don't have time for this. I will re-post the results of the new X.

You need to understand that apple adds copyrights on their files and this is what makes the itunes files not play, this isn't Droid X fault. Everyone keeps blaming the Droid X for something that apple did, this is what copyrighted files are made for, even some files cant be transferred to another apple device so why would it be different for a Android device?
I mean no disrespect but I am amazed on how many iTunes user blame Android or the device to be flawed because it wont play security locked files without issues.
