Can't add notification tones

I've been searching for a couple of days now, and I can't find an answer.  Whenever I add mp3's to my notifications folder (sdcard:/media/audio/notifications/), nothing shows up on the Droid X.  When I do this with the ringtones and alarm tones, they show up fine.  Does anyone know why this might be happening?  I have updated to 2.2.

Notification folder has all Midi files in it so I would say that is probally the only supported format without 3rd party apps, download ringo Lite and that will resolve that issue..
