Everytime I try to call my husband, a red circle with a slash through it pops up over the signal strength bars and then it goes back to the home screen. When my husband tries to call me, it goes straight to voice mail. Do I have a setting that's set incorrectly? When I called Verizon, they had me call *228 which I did, but I still can't call my husband..........??????????

This may be barking down the wrong hole, but let's try this:
On your Droid, open Settings / Applications / Manage Applications. Choose the ALL tab and let it load.
Choose contacts. Select clear data.
Do the same for Dialer and Dialer Storage.
Reboot your phone.
See if the call comes in.
If that doesn't work, try this:
On your computer, access your Google contacts page. Check for duplicates under your husband's name. Remove any dupes.
If you have yourself listed under Google contacts, see if your listing contains identical numbers to your husband's listing.
Or, alternatively, try listing his phone number under a different name, like MR. X. If you get the call normally, then the problem may be with Google Contacts misreading duplicate information somewhere in the grid.
If neither of those point you to the problem. try a factory reset.
Best I can offer. Anybody else?

You can block phone numbers through the online web account...
It might be a computer glitch or some kind of database corruption at Verizon... or your husband might have been experimenting with settings on the online web account... and accidently blocked you phone number... or maybe doesn't want you calling him at work or something.
Just throwing some ideas out there.
If he is the account holder he can get away with blocking certain numbers.
You might want to talk to him about it.

Call the Verizon Customer Support and run this issue by them. I've heard of this very problem before, and with other carriers.
Good luck, let us know what happens,
