Can't do hands free calling when security is enabled

I would like to set a screen lock for security reasons. I would also like to be able to use my Bluetooth earpiece for hands free dialing. These features seem to be mutually exclusive.
Even when the phone is within it's 20 minute between lock times, it will not respond to the Bluetooth earpiece. If I run the advanced Ap killer, I'm allowed one call. If I turn the screen lock off, the hands free operation works fine.
This is on a Droid 2 and Plantronics.

I have the same issue on my Droid X with the Motorola H680. I have been contemplating getting a Bluetooth that will work with the motospeak app, but I don't want to spend the money if I am going to have the same issues.

I have the same problem....Droid 2 and Plantronics 200 series. Was told by the Verizon rep that voice activation through the bluetooth was not possible.
