Can't get music from Motorola Droid to play over Ford Sync

If I google search this, it seems to be a common problem, yet I can't seem to find a solution.
I managed to pair the phone and sync by quickly entering the BT passcode.
The phone I can hear perfectly fine over my sync.
However, the music doesn't make a sound. The sync says music and phone are streaming to it, it recognizes the droid, the phone recognizes the sync, both say they are connected. On my sync, I do have BTSD selected, and if I hit "pause" on the sync, it pauses the music on my phone. The volume on the phone and the volume in my car are both turned up. If I directly connect the droid via USB and change the sync setting to "Line in", an error message comes up saying my device is not supported, however I know it is supported. I've tried everything except updating my sync system (though nobody with this problem on the internet seems to find this as a solution, I'll try it later when I get another memory stick, but I don't think it's going to help, or about this because nobody offers it as a solution).
I had an iPhone, and that worked perfectly fine...so I'm familiar with how to set up the system...so if you don't have a droid, I don't really need to hear how other phones got connected...this seems to be a problem for the Droid...thanks!
