Can you elaborate a little? Do you get some sort of error msg? What happens when you try to download/send pictures? Are you using the default SMS app or one from the market? Have you tried restarting your phone?
Hopefully someone can help you out with a little more information. The only thing I can think of off the bat is that you may be trying to send/receive MMS over a wifi network. I thought the system would automatically kick back to 3G but I could be wrong.
My phone just acts like it is thinking then will display the red triangle if your trying to send an MMS or video... and if your trying to download them it will go back to the choice of download or decline... Its like it thinks for so long then times out. If wi-fi is on it doesn't help in the MMS part. Email has no problem downloading pics or videos even without wi-fi enabled it is only for sending and receiving MMS pictures or video.
