Can't text on Droid 2 Global

I've had my Droid 2 Global, and received the 2.3 OTA update probably 2-3 weeks ago, and everything has been perfect up until now. For some reason, whenever I text, e-mail, or try to type in my browser, everything freezes up. My browser and Gmail will force close, while my stock texting client will just freeze up and eventually take me back to the home screen.

After about typing 1-2 words, the auto-correct bar at the bottom of the screen goes away, and I can't type anything else. The screen becomes unresponsive (except those four main buttons on the screen itself, even those take awhile to respond). This has been going on since about 8-9PM last night. So far I've tried:

1. Powering off and on, removing battery, SIM card, and SD card.

2. Uninstalling the apps that I installed that day.

3. Tried downloading Handscent and GO SMS, both texting clients encounter the same problem.

No water damage that I know of. Phone was in my pocket all night. No keys/buttons stick that I know of either. All my apps, games, and music work normally. Just when I try to type something in.

And yes, it does this with the physical keypad AND the virtual keypad.

...Any ideas on what I can do? Only had the phone a little over a month, my first bill isn't even due yet.

Try the suggestions in this thread:

In a nut shell, clear the data and cache on your keyboard app and possibly turn off next word prediction.

Hello Driveshaft815,

It sounds like you are pretty knowledgeable on how to troubleshoot the text messaging issue that you have. May I ask is this issue resolved yet? If not, please send me a private message with your full name, mobile number, contact number, and a brief description on when you first noticed the issue. I would like to escalated this internally.

Thank you...
