Can't turn phone on

I turned my phone off last night when charging, now the phone only shows the red camera icon and won't power up

Have you tried pulling the battery and leaving it out for like 30 secs?

How low was your battery? If it was lower than 10% than you need a good 12 hour charge. Also, it is advisable not to shut your Droid X off when charging. This is opposite to all other cell phones, except Android phones. It likes to be on when charging. The red eye you see is not a camera icon but the Android eye.

Have you gone to the Motorola site and looked at the manual? It will show you how to remove your battery. Just be careful pulling the tab. If you tear it off, you are most certainly out of luck.
