I have my phone linked to my Gmail account and have imported my iCal calendar to my Gmail calendar. Problem is I cannot add or sync a calendar to my Droid X. I have tried to "manage" my google account, but I dont get any link to add the google calendar for syncing. Any suggestions?

Did you go into your Google Calender, then click on Settings / Calendar Settings? From there, there is a Tab for MOBILE SETUP that you have to go through to initiate the "sync". There is also a piece of s/w that you download that facilitates the "sync" function between your PC & the Phone, if you plan to use that feature. I can't speak to iCal .... I use OUTLOOK .. but it works flawlessly.
Good luck.

Yeah I have gone thru those settings twice, but still cant get the calendar to sync with the phone. I didnt really see any "sync" settings in the mobile setup though. Im really confused on why I cannot get the calendar to connect to the phone, but the email works fine.

Could you please tell me how you were able to add Outlook to your Droid X? Been working on this for a while and cannot figure it out. Thank you, Clark

Have you tried bringing up the calendar app on your phone , then Menu > More > Calendars? Are your Gmail calendars listed there? If so, are they turned on to sync and be visible? Do you have the Gmail account associated with your calendar active on your phone? See My Accounts, is it listed? Last but not least long press on a large blank area of a screen > Android Widgets > Power Control. Not press on the recycle icon if it is not lit to turn on the sync process. Leave it on.

What do you see when you press on a Gmail account in the My Accounts section? What items have a green check?
What do you see in the Calendars section?

OK, I'll ask again as I', not sure you did this: Did you go into your Google Calender, then click on Settings / Calendar Settings? From there, there is a Tab for MOBILE SETUP that you have to go through to initiate the "sync".
You MUST do that step FIRST - it "links" GMAIL & GMAIL Calendar to your specific Phone number.
Did you do that?

@Clark : You don't set OUTLOOK up on the actual Phone. You need to install s/w on your PC that has Outlook running and "sync" from there to your phone.

OK ... so in "My Accounts" (from the app drawer), did you Select your GMAIL Account and make sure "Sync Calendar" is set? (sorry if you said you did this previously, just trying to step through this 1 at a time.)

I think you misread that .. go into "My Accounts" (not GMAIL !) Press/click on the GMAIL account userid. It will give you several options - one of which is "SYNC Calendar".

OK ... very strange .. in GMAIL / Calandar Settings / Mobile Setup -- you received and entered a Validation Code, right?
(edit - I see you said you had that code in your previous post.)
Which Calendar APP are you using? The Stock one that came with your DX? or a different APP?
Just trying to check all the pre-reqs ... something clearly isn't set up right yet. You SHOULD have a "Calendar Sync" option under that GMAIL account.

PS - I would suggest Removing the GMAIL Account from MY ACCOUNTS and re-adding it ... have you attempted that yet?

I'm at a loss, sorry ... That would be my next approach, as painful as it might be if you've had the phone long.. If this is new and you haven't spent too much time configuring things, go for it ... REMOVE the account and see if a RESET fixes it all.
Let us know what you find out. Good luck.
