Cannot 'cancel download' with Flash.

I tried to download flash when it was first released. It never downloaded or installed. Now, when I pull it back up on the Market and click on it, at the bottom of the screen is says "Cancel Download". I hit that and then it says the Android Market has stopped unexpectedly and I have to Force Close.. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I already tried battery pull---no luck.

I have the exact same problem. I'm going to call verizon and see if they have any suggestions. If I learn anything I'll let you know.

Maybe try clearing the market data.  Go into Settings-Applications-Manage Applications, hit the menu button choose filter and Running.  Scroll down til you see Market and hit Clear Data.  May ask you to reaccept the terms for the market when you re-open it but you should be fine.

I would recommend what PJNC284 has suggested. I would also add that you could complete a soft-reset. A soft-reset is turning off the device and removing the battery. Once the battery is removed, place the battery back into the device and power it on.

I would like to suggest that you perform a factory reset on your device. The steps will be listed below:

 

 WARNING: When using this feature; everything is deleted. Nothing stored on the MicroSD will be affected. (TO USE CAUTION BE SURE TO REMOVE YOUR CARD)

 

Factory Data Reset is a tool used to remove everything that was imported, added or installed on the device

Important Note: Your contact and email information is automatically backed up to the Gmail server.  Your information will be restored when you login with your user name and a password.

 

To Perform a Reset

1.Open the Applications Tray. (arrow pointing up located in the middle at the bottom of the display screen

2.Touch Settings

3.Touch Privacy

4.Touch Factory data reset

5.Touch Reset Phone

6.Touch Erase Everything

 

Note: You cannot reset/clear your phone remotely if it is lost or stolen.

 

To Manually Reset

If there are significant problems with your device or you are not able to follow the steps above please use the following process to manually reset the phone:

  1. Turn off phone
  2. Press Power key + "x" (on the hardware keyboard) to power on the phone and bring up the recovery screen.
  3. Press Volume Up + Camera Key to show the recovery menu.
  4. Select Wipe data/factory reset
  5. Select Reboot Phone

After the reset has been done then try and reinstall the ADOBE FLASH 10.1

I will add the following. Try the previous three posts in order, one at time and checking to see if each one fixed the issue before moving on to the next step. The factory reset should be your last resort option.
