Cannot get speech to text to work

I keep getting message "connection problem" and asked to try again to no avail.

What is you signal level when this happens, since the app reacts to web base feed back, if the reception is low or your on 1X mode you can sometime get this issue.

Try updating your PRL by dialing *228 option 2, then stop the running application steps are listed below. Restart the application and go back through the steps.
- From the home screen, touch the applications tab(located at the bottom of the display).
- Touch Settings.
- Touch Applications.
- Touch Running services.
- Touch a service.
The service depicted below is only an example.
- Touch Stop.
