I have solved my problem. If anyone else is having the same problem this is the fix.
I can only speak to the Droid 2 Global phone.
Open contacts, click on menu button next to the home button at the bottom of your phone. Six options come up, one of them is More. Click on that. More options come up. Select import/export. Select export your contacts to your SIM card. It will ask you do you really want to export contacts to SIM card. Select yes, it will download them to it. It only takes a minute.
I went to my car turned it on and my contacts were there.

A coworker of mine had their car dealer troubleshoot and set everything up. You may want to give them a try.

My car is paired with the phone. Using voice commands I can say dial then say a number.
When I use voice command saying Call<Sue> or any name from my contacts on my phone the car answers back "no entry'

Sue:
Nice work!
I spent three hours this morning with my BMW X5 dealer and three of their best people could not solve the problem.
I will try your suggestion immediately and see what happens.
Do you have any other comments about the Droid 2 Global? Have you tried international calls yet?
I've had mine for two days now.
Regards,
HBB

I am now in touch with Motorola chasing the problem in more depth. I'm now talking to my third Motorola tech specialist.
More later,

I have a 2009 Explorer and my Droid 2 Global will not pair with the SYNC system. Has anyone found a way around this. Of course, I wasn't told this when I bought the phone. I contacted Verizon and they said they weren't aware of this problem. Now I see all the posts concerning it, I find that hard to believe. I took my vehicle to the dealer stating something was wrong with the SYNC system and I find out that the only two droid phone compatible with the SYNC system is Droid X and the HTC Incredible. If anyone knows how to work around this, the information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
