I've had ZAGG protectors before and they always worked well.. but I never knew how to put it on right- there was a ton of air bubbles all over it. 😕

Would the people at verizon put it on for me if I brought that in along with my Dinc when I receive it or would they only put on the screen protectors that they sell at the store?

Which is better silicon cover vs. fexi skin vs. rubberized case?

I'm still waiting for my device, but I will definitely be purchasing a case/cover for it when it arrives. I've had an otterbox case for my BB for some time and it is one of the best cases I have ever owned. According to their website (www.otterbox.com) they will have several model cases for the Inc sometime soon. I would imagine they, like us, are awaiting a device to design their product

Check out what OtterBox offers.

I do not know if Verizon will apply the Zagg.com's for you because they do require the spray to be sprayed on your phone. HOWEVER, if you goto Zagg.com and watch the instructional video's on installation it is very easy if you do EXACTLY what they say.

"BUYER BEWARE - there are people who say that installing a Zagg.com will void your warranty however from a very reliable source i have learned that if you have trouble with your phone you MUST uninstall your Zagg.com screen protector before you send it in or they will void your warranty and you have to pay retail for a new phone. Alot of people say unistalling it and telling verizon that you didn't have one is Fraud from what i can tell it is not. There is nothing in thier warranty info saying you CANT install one but that they can void your warranty for pretty much anything and since you have to spray the solution on your phone it is a quick way to take blame off of the manufacturer" Install it and use it because it is the best. however if you have problems with your phone uninstall it before you send the phone in.

I have emailed Zagg.com about this problem and i am still waiting on a response from them about it voiding warranties. i will keep you updated on the status of the emails.

and about the otterbox however that it is a good case i didn't like it because it seems to make the phone feel 2-4 times bigger than it really is. a good screen cover and a silicone case should suffice. The Silicones are more of a impact case because it causes the impact spot to spread the impact through all the silicone.the hard cases are for people that carry the phone in a backpack/laptop case/briefcase.

sorry for the novel but i wanted to address everyone's posts.. lol hope this helps you all make a decision

I just got off the phone with Best Buy Mobile Dept.  They carry both verizon phones and the zagg.com screen protectors.  He stated they actually install the protectors.  he also stated that if it did void the warranty they would have to inform the customer about it and have them sign something (which they do not).  I personally think best buy would be in a lot of trouble if they were installing this and it voided the warranty.

Would BestBuy install the ZAGG if I purchased that there and not the phone itself?

well all i know is that a couple of buddies of mine have had to pay Retail for a phone because they had the Zagg.com shield on thier phone. but maybe they caused enough of a stink that maybe verizon had to change it.. not sure but was just putting the warning out there because i have seen it happen.

Can't wait till Thursday when i get my phones so i am not just looking @ my accessories without a phone in them

I recommed the rubber case at Best Buy. The HTC brand.  It is awesome, it's very sturdy. The only problem is that they cost $20, but I believe you won't regret it.  I bought one off ebay for like a buck, and it's a piece of crap compared to best buy. The ebay ones are like jello-like, very very CHEAP material.

My wife has the Zagg shield and I have the one VZW sells.  Honestly I don't ike hers.  Maybe it is the install but it looks good but I think it is kind of sticky compared to mine which is very smooth.  Maybe it is just me though.

I have the Zagg screen protector. Installed it my self. Dont spray the phone, spray the heck out of your fingers and the film itself. It will slide across the screen. Move it to where you want it, then squeegee the bubbles out. Next day you wont see anything!

I also purchased the Body Glove hard case. It does a great job of covering the camera lense (which protrudes from the phone back).

So, as long as I don't drop it from great hieghts, or run over it (I did that once with a Nextel!) I should be OK

I'm guessing it'll be difficult to find cases for the phone with the extended battery cover. I'm not gonna be mad at that. Just letting people know they'll be hard to find.

You can rectify this by either going back to stock battery/cover or make a template and cut a hole in your case.

I got the one direct from VZW in the store. It works great. It's also non-glare which I also like. They give you a 3 pack with a micro-fiber cleaning cloth and a card to remove bubbles (which isn't much of a concern).

Ditto....I have the $20 HTC gel case from Best Buy.  I like it a LOT.  It's not really bulky but adds a lot of protection for the phone...I have dropped it a few times and no problem.  And the Steinheil Crystal screen protector.

I bought the Zagg screen protector they day I got my Dinc.  I wanted to get an Otterbox case, but who knows when that will be released.  I have since ordered the Seidio Active case due to arrive any day now.  http://www.seidioonline.com/product-p/csr6hddn-bk.htm

I purchased a generic screen protector on ebay, cheap but effective.

But I went with the same case that you did

I purchased the Ghost Armor screen protector and it works great.  It was easy to put on and you don't even notice that it is installed.  The screen still feels smooth just like it did when there was nothing on it.  They offer a full body version or screen only version.  I would recommend only the screen only becasue the full body version doesn't look good.

Also, there is a new Hard Shell / Rubber hybrid from Speck that is Black with Red accents that looks really good.  It is $29.99 and is only currently sold at VZW Stores.
