Certain apps won't download or update

Why is it that a handful of apps that i have downloaded (angry birds, for example) won't update? it gives me that little error notification and says "Update unsuccessful" thanks for your help!

A number of user notice this when they have installed app to sd card or had a corrupted installation.  Try dismounting sd card or removing it and then try installing with it out.

I would like to thank the community for your suggestions.  I would like to also recommend that you clear the Cache on your phone.  This will sometimes help resolve problems associated with processing updates.

Manage & restore apps 

Find it: Menu > Settings > Applications 

> Manage applications 

Touch an app in the list, then touch Uninstall (for apps 

you downloaded), Clear cache, or other options. 

To reinstall any downloaded items, touch Launcher 

icon > Market > My downloads.

First ask yourself how important that app if to you. I had to completly take my sd card out in order to down load one of those apps. And would have had to every time it needed an update. But finally I found out there is a way to fix it. Search the msg board, or online there are instructions. It involves connecting your phone too your computer and deleting a file from a folder that says "secure".
