I am trying to change the text message alert to a custom alert, but the only choices I have are the preloaded alerts. Is there a way to change the alerts to something other than the preloaded ones?
If you save the new alert sound as a ringtone it should show up for you to select
Not one single downloaded ringtone shows up as an option for Notification ringtone. ONLY the factory installed are availabel for text alerts. I have several downloaded ringtones AND message alerts but none show up.
What sorts of ringtones are you downloading and where are you putting them?

hmmm... works fine for me... all my downloads are available..
Works for SMS/MMS alerts? They are selectable for ringtones, just not SMS/MMS alerts.
