Charge Phone Improved Signal Power

I just purchased the NEW Wilson Electronics Sleek-3G/4G amplified Cradle.  It amplifies both 3G or 4G whichever one to which you are connecting.

When I was in inside our garage and also inside the motorhome I set the phone to 4G LTE and it took the 4G signal from -104 dBm (phone not in Sleek cradle) to -68 dBm when the phone was in the cradle. 

I then re-set the phone to 3G/CDMA and it took that signal from -84 dBm (Phone not in Cradle) to -64 dBm (Phone in Cradle).

This is a new amplifier from Wilson Electronics.   The Model 4G-V is for Verizon and 4G-A is for AT&T.  You can see the specs here.

The test in my motorhome used the 12 V power plug and the 12" MAG mount antenna that is already on the roof of the motorhome.  As soon as I get the 110 V power plug (it's on its way) I will test it in the house using the little 4" MAG mount antenna that was included with the Sleek 3G/4G cradle.

Did you notice that with the last upgrade from Verizon when you go to Settings>About Phone>Status and scroll down the page you get a much more complete listing of signal strength.  As the attached picture shows you get the 1X, the EVDO, and the LTE signal strength.

It will be great in the motorhome or a car and I may also use it in the house when we are not traveling.

PS,  Even the Wilson 12" MAG mount antenna amplifies the 4G signal a "little" bit but it amplifies the 3G signal more.

Today I had a chance to test the Sleek 3G/4G cradle using a 110 V power supply inside the house.  The little 6" antenna was next to a window and I put a coffee can lid under it for a ground plain.

Without the UML290 moden in the Sleek cradle I could get a 20% signal strength and -72 dBm as shown by my Cradlepoint 1000 router.

With the Pantech UML290 modem in the Sleek 3G/4G cradle I could get 40% signal strength and -61 dBm.

i noticed an immediate and noticeable improvement in signal strength after the FP5 update....
