Charge weak vibration

The vibration on my Charge is very weak. If I set the phone on a notepad next to me, I cannot even hear the phone vibrate. The vibration is noticeable when the phone is on a hard surface. Also, I cannot feel the vibration when I have the phone in silent and it is in my pocket. I see not setting in the phone to increase the call/sms notification vibration setting. I have only had the phone for a few days, and this is the only thing that is making me consider dumping it for the HTC Thunderbolt.
Is there a way to increase the intensity of the vibration, or am I stuck with an extremely anemic vibrate setting?

From any home screen on your Charge, press the Menu button (left physical button at bottom) and then select Setting > Sound settings. Scroll down to the setting for Vibration Intensity and adjust.
Good luck!

I did that, but it only seems to change the setting for Feedback, and not the intensity of the notification vibrate. In fact, when I set that intensity to nothing, I still get the anemic vibration on SMS notification.

Jman,
You did not indicate what steps you took to try to solve the problem before posting about it. Therefore, it is harder to provide effective feedback.
On second look at the settings, I think my advice was wrong. The "Vibration Intensity" setting appears to be only for haptic feedback (when you press a key on the phone, it vibrates). The more appropriate area of Sound settings is at the top - the General area. This does NOT provide for any intensity adjustment for vibration - only on/off settings.

I apologize for not including what I looked at in the settings. I wrongly presumed it was not necessary to include that detail as the setting on the phone does indicate it is for touch feedback.
That is the only setting I have seen for vibration. Perhaps it is just the nature of the phone to have weak vibrate on alert.
