Just picked up my Droid X today. Turned it off, plugged it in to charge it. All that appears is the motorola symbol, but no battery icon or anything like shows up- then it disappears. So I unplug it, try to turn it on by pressing the power button, and all that appears is the motorola symbol, which again disappears. A little green light is flashing. Anybody got any idea what's goin on?

UPDATE: took it to the Verizon store, where they played with it for a good half hour, and ended up just giving me a new one. This one does charge correctly. Thanks guys for trying to help though

You may have a charger issue because when the device is plugged in and powered off it should show the large green battery in the middle of the screen with a percentage number on it, if device is on then the battery icon in the top status bar should have a lightening bolt on it. If you are not seeing this then I would say its a charger issue...
By the way do not charge on pc usb because it charges real slow.

That's annoying. I just got it today. Any idea why it won;t turn back on? When I turned it off, the battery was orange, but it wasn't out

If your battery was orange that means it was under 15% if I recall correctly. Also if it was that low already and you bought it today that means it didn't get a full charge. Be careful as this is a sure fire way to ruin your battery.
Make sure you have it plugged into a wall charger, allow it to set on the charger for a few hours before you mess with it. After a few hours on the wall charger it should fire up for you with no issues, once it turns on still give it a good 8 hours of solid charge time before you unplug it.
If your battery is completely dead, which is sounds like is the case, it won't register the green charging screen while plugged into the wall until it has enough of a charge. I don't know what the magic % is that it starts showing that charging screen.

Once the bettery reaches a curtain level the device will not power back on until battery reaches 10%, try plugging it into the wall and allow the battery to read 10% or more before you attempt to power it back up. If you just get the device the battery hasnt calculated you average usage and this may be why this happened.
