Comcast xfinity.tv

Hello,

I recently downloaded the xfinity comcast application. By going into mange my DVR it open s a browser window. I can then select the playnow tab and select TV's shows to watch. This all works fine. Once I select the show I want to watch I get to the 'starting playback' screen and the loading dots keep going but the show never loads.

I've tried on WiFi and 3G. No luck. Is this just a painlessly slow process that isn't worth the effort or is there something from the Market that I should download load to help my cause. Or is there another way to get this to work.

It looks like this is DVR controller app. Not so you can watch movies/shows on your phone. (If that's what you're trying to do. Couldn't tell for sure by your post)

When I look at the info on the Xfinity app page a couple things jump out at me. Specifically:

the app supports many but not all Comcast set top boxes. (Scientific Atlanta not supported)
You must be at home when you initially set it up with your DVR and tv turned on. (Messages will appear on your tv)
Not available in all areas

There are others but I think you need to make sure it's available in your area first.

Sorry wasn't clear in my post. Yes it is a DVR controller application. I was able to get that to work at home no problem. If you have the app on the phone and go to menu you can go to settings and there is a manage DVR setting. When you click on that it opens a browser window that would look the same as viewing it on a PC.

On a PC I can view shows fine, however on the X the shows never load. I was just trying to find out if anyone has been able to view shows on the X through comcasts site and if yes was there anything additional I needed to add to my phone.
