Conected to Fios router but can't transfer files.

I connected my Droid x to my Fios wireless router and it changes the internet connection automatically but when I try to transfer files like photo's using Media share it asks for a user name & password. How do I find this info? Is this my routers password because that did not work?

Check out Android Manager Wifi, it's a free app and corresponding computer program. I've heard it works pretty well.

Are you connecting your DX directly to the router or to your computer? In order to see any files, you should connect your DX to your computer. It will then show a new drive. Once this is done, you can drag files from your DX to your computer, or from your computer to your DX.

I connected my DX to the routers wireless service so when I am at home I don't need 3g. I want to be able to transfer files over that connection.

I transfer files via WiFi and the built-in files app. You must supply your computer username and password to connect to it.

I do something similar as ScooterCat only I use Estrongs file explorer to transfer files through the wifi connection to my computer.
