I have paired my plantronics headset to my DROID, however, when I turn on my headset the DROID never automatically conencts to the headset. I go into settings and it will sometimes connect after tapping the connect feature several times or not at all. It's a top of the line headset with a high quality phone, but I'm frustrated that it has to be connected manually.

As a data point if you have a 903, my Plantronics BackBeat 903 headphones automatically connect to my Droid-X when I turn the headphones on. I hold the power button on the Plantronics down for about 4 seconds, the blue light comes on then goes off, and they are connected. You may want to unpair your headphones (long press on the Bluetooth device in setup > wireless > Bluetooth settings) and try re-pairing it.

I had tried that in the beginning, and unfortunately, still doesn't connect. I contacted Plantronics and it might be an issue with the headset itself. The only way I can currently connect is to put the headset in discoverable mode and then scan on the Droid.
