Contacts and using facebook

OK when i first got my phone i sent up facebook on my phone and imported my contacts.

 

Afterwards after realizing that I didn't want all my facebook contacts uploaded on my phone, i tried to delete them.  My phone said that I need to delete them through facebook.  I did this and I have waited a couple of days to see if they would be removed from my phone.  They weren't so I removed my facebook application from my phone and reloaded it and none of my remaining facebook contacts are it there at all.

 

Anyone know how I can fix this?

No worries at all. The easiest way is to delete the Facebook account itself first. Once you do this the Facebook contacts will be deleted as well. Next you will need to hit menu then choose settings then to manage accounts. Then choose the Facebook account and you manage how the contacts are linked with your current contacts. Hope this helps.

I have tried to do this time and time again and it shows that it is deleting this account and then it say that an error has occurred. Please try again.  What does a guy do now?

Maybe if you reset your settings to default and tried again... Same thing happened to me with my old BB Pearl & think that's how I fixed it.

OK I am having another issue with syncing contacts and facebook.

 

In google and the phonebook contact list I have my parents listed with my dad's first name & mom's first name under given name, and last name under family name.

 

My mom is the only one with a facebook account so in the facebook account only her first and last name are listed.

 

In my contact list I want my dad's first name listed first so it is towards the top rather than by my mom's first name.

 

But when I link accounts, facebook with google and phone book, it overrides my accounts for google and phonebook, with my mom's first and last name only and erases my dad's first name entirely.

 

Even when I go and edit the names on the contact list it doesn't recognize that I am putting my dad's name first.

 

Any idea's as it works find with other contacts that I have set up this way?
