All my contacts have disappeared. I believe it has something to do with gmail because I can not open gmail or the market. I checked and my Gmail was no longer under accounts and sync so I tried adding it and resyncing but its about 3 hours and still syncing and I still don't have any contacts and can't open the market.

Thank you frobiocortez for your inquiry and thank you Ann for the link. I agree, it does sound like you may need to complete a hard reset for this issue. One think I would suggest first is to try clearing cache from Gmail. If Gmail is not listed as an option, you will not be able to complete this and will need to hard/factory reset. To clear cache, go to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>All>Gmail>Clear data/cache. Try to setup Gmail again. If still not working, the next step is a hard reset.
