Over the past few weeks, I have had the completely annoying issue of my phone keeps notifying me of... something. While plugged in (and only at this time) it will either give the fully charged notification sound every 10 seconds to 3 minutes (the time varies) or vibrate. I keep my phone plugged in overnight to charge, and use it as an alarm in the morning. As you can imagine... having this sound go off so frequently throughout the night is EXTREMELY annoying. My husband and I have found it difficult to sleep for more than a little bit at a time.
I called Verizon today to find out how to fix this (amongst a few other problems I'm having, but I'll save that for later). The rep did some searching and recommended that I download AutomateIT. I have the app installed and tried a few different "rules" in it, but the notifications keep coming. It's not even a notification, really... it's just the sound of a notification. Nothing else happens. I tried looking for an option within the phone to turn off battery notifications, but can't find anything. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough?
I have had the Charge since June of 2011. Right now, I'm on my 2nd charge. Full stock, everything is up to date. I have done a hard reset to this specific phone twice. The only apps running are Facebook and Google Voice.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?? Is there a solution? I appreciate ANY suggestions, as this phone is driving me craaaaaazy!

Try pulling the battery, SD card, and SIM card. Leave them out for 5-6 minutes. Then re-install the SIM card, SD card, and the battery.

Hi love3n1:
Thanks for taking the time to report your issue. I looked, and this is not a common issue with the device, so I recommend seeking a replacement at this point. You can contact the warranty center directly by dialing 866-406-5154. You can also follow me ( MikeS_VZW ) and send me a DM with your name/mobile number.
If you have master reset the phone, and you're running stock software, I'd imagine that some hardware malfunction is causing this.
Thanks,
MikeS_VZW

I think I might have the solution. if your phone is stock (not-rooted), you can access the clockwork recovery section by pressing volume up+home+power button (once the device is already off). once you see the samsung logo, release the power button only. there should be a section to navigate to (via the volume rocker, and enter is the home button) to refresh the battery stats. but do this with the phone unplugged and battery power at nearly 0% (or you could let it shut off automatically and then boot into the CWR).
hope this helps.
if your phone is rooted, then there is a battery calibration app.
but do some searching on "battery calibration" for your phone.

anytime... FYI, you might want to come to this forum to edit your comment to remove your e-mail address, b/c your quoted response includes your e-mail address, which I would not want to be exposed in the event of spammers/scammers/stalkers....
